365 Days Turner Contemporary

For two years Leise recorded the view of the sky capturing the natural rythms of light across the seasons. From the same window overlooking the sea every day for two years she made a painting at the two low tides each day, setting an alarm clock to remind her to stop what she is doing and paint. By her obsessive documentation of these moments Wilson encourages the viewer to slow down and observe the sky, light, time, and the changing of the seasons. There are a total of 730 days and 1460 individual paintings.
